Advanced punch forms editor

We've completely rebuilt the punch forms system with a comprehensive visual editor that provides full control over form design, conditional logic, and user experience.

Form editor Preview

Visual form builder

Designer interface: Drag-and-drop form builder with text fields, dropdowns, checkboxes, radio buttons, text areas, disclaimers, and daily log components.

Real-time preview: Test how forms appear to users before deployment with the integrated preview function.

Conditional logic: Create if-then rules that show, hide, or modify form elements based on user responses for dynamic form behavior.

Multi-language support: Build localized versions of forms through the Translations section for diverse workforces.

Enhanced Controls

Layout options: Customize question box collapse states (Locked, Collapsed, Expanded) and alignment settings for titles, descriptions, and error messages.

Version management: Automatic archiving of previous form versions with one active version and complete history tracking.

Flexible activation: Configure forms independently for punch-in and punch-out actions.

Key Benefits

Improved efficiency: Conditional logic ensures users see only relevant questions, reducing completion time while improving data quality.

Enhanced compliance: Built-in disclaimer components help ensure employees acknowledge safety policies during punch processes.

Operational flexibility: Separate forms for punch-in versus punch-out support different workflow requirements.

Available Form Elements

  • Text input/Area: Single and multi-line text fields
  • Dropdown/Radio/Checkbox: Selection options for various choice types
  • Toggle switches: Binary yes/no selections
  • Disclaimer blocks: Legal text with required acknowledgment
  • Daily log sections: Specialized shift reporting areas.

The new punch forms editor replaces basic form configuration with a professional-grade platform that scales from simple questionnaires to complex, conditional workflows.

Enhanced Employee Import Wizard

We've fully redesigned the employee import experience with a completely new import wizard that offers better control, enhanced validation, and simplified workflows for both importing new employees and updating existing ones.

Improved import interface

Dynamic column support: The import template now automatically include available user-defined fields and organization unit columns. When the Compliance Reporting module is enabled, Social Security Number and Work Classification columns are also included.

Enhanced data preview and validation

The new post-import preview gives you complete control over what changes to apply before they're made to your system.

Three-Section Organization:

  • Entries with errors: Shows invalid entries that cannot be imported, with clear error descriptions highlighted in red.
  • Updated entries: Displays existing employees with changed information, highlighting updates in blue and non-updatable fields in orange.
  • Ready to import: Lists new employees that meet all requirements for import.

Smart update handling: When an import file includes a column with blank values, the system now preserves existing data instead of overwriting it with empty values.

Flexible selection: Choose specific rows to import or update, or process all valid entries at once with dynamic button labels that show your selection count.

Improved user experience

Column management: New column selection controls let you enable or disable specific columns during import. Mandatory columns remain required, with visual indicators for disabled columns.

Enhanced security and permissions

Permission-based access: Users with limited access see only employee numbers and full names for restricted employees, with clear messaging about permission limitations.

Department-level restrictions: The system properly handles department-level access restrictions and organization unit permissions during the import process.

Technical improvements

  • Better error handling: Clear, contextual error messages help you quickly identify and resolve import issues.
  • Validation logic: Enhanced validation ensures data integrity while providing helpful feedback.

Customizable employee export

Export dialog enhancement: When exporting from the employees list, you now have full control over which columns to include in your export file through a new field selection dialog.

Complete column control: The export dialog displays all available exportable columns as selectable options, letting you create exports tailored to your specific workflow needs. Thus, you can now export exactly the information you need.

Protected core fields: Employee number, First name, and Last name are always included in exports to maintain data integrity and ensure essential identification information is preserved.

Optimized Workflows: This enhancement eliminates the need to manually delete unnecessary columns in spreadsheet applications after export, saving time and reducing the risk of accidentally removing important data.

Use cases

Payroll processing: Export only payroll-relevant fields like Pay Group, Pay Class, Company, and Status without contact information or user roles cluttering your reports.

Project communication: Generate clean contact lists with Employee Name, Phone Number, Email, and Job Site assignments for quick communication during schedule changes or safety alerts.

Compliance reporting: Include address and compliance-specific fields when needed for regulatory requirements while excluding operational data that isn't relevant to compliance workflows.

Procore Overview dashboard

The new Overview dashboard provides a centralized view of all job sites with daily aggregated data, eliminating the need to check each job site individually for publishable data.

At-a-glance metrics: The dashboard displays key information for each job site including employee count, timelog count, and publishable versus non-publishable data status, giving you complete visibility into your project data.

Flexible publishing controls: Configure which job sites are publishable on a per-entity basis (Timecard, Manpower, Production Quantity), providing granular control over what data gets shared.

Automated publishing options: New auto-publish functionality is available for all entities (Timecard, Manpower, Production Quantity), reducing manual oversight while ensuring timely data synchronization.

Detailed job site views: Click on any job site from the Overview dashboard to access comprehensive details and publishing information specific to that location.

Module-specific organization: Each Procore entity has its own dedicated view for focused data management and publishing workflows.

Dynamic status tracking: Publishing statuses update in real-time, providing immediate feedback on the success or failure of data synchronization attempts.

Preserved manual controls: Existing Publish Now and Republish functionalities remain available for manual control when needed.

Key Benefits

Centralized management: Monitor all job sites and their publishing status from a single dashboard view instead of navigating through individual locations.

Improved efficiency: Auto-publish capabilities reduce manual intervention while maintaining control over which job sites participate in automated workflows.

Better visibility: Weekly data organization and dynamic status updates help identify publishing issues before they impact project workflows.

Enhanced Employee Bench

We've enhanced the Employee Bench system to provide better workforce management capabilities with full organization unit support and collaborative sharing features. The bench now offers global availability across all scheduling views and supports unlimited custom categories.

Employee bench

Global bench availability

  • Organization unit-wide visibility: The bench is now global for your entire organization unit and available across all jobs and views.
  • Multi-org unit support: When selecting "All" or "Global" from the main header, an organization unit filter appears on the Employee Bench.

Custom bench categories

  • Unlimited categories: Create as many bench categories as needed (for example, Vacation Bench, Finisher Bench, Rotating Bench).
  • Color-coded organization: Each category displays with distinct colors for easy identification.
  • Flexible management: No predefined category list. Customize categories to match your operational needs.

Collaborative Bench Sharing

  • Permission-based access control: Bench Administrators with "Manage employee bench" permission can share benches with additional users.
  • Granular sharing permissions:
    • View-Only: Users can see bench contents without making changes.
    • Add/Remove employees: Users can modify bench membership.
  • Category-specific sharing: Share individual bench categories rather than entire bench systems.
  • Organization unit restrictions: Shared bench categories are only visible to users with access to the relevant organization unit.

Enhanced employee management

  • Scheduling: When an employee is added to the bench, their current schedule ends as of yesterday.
  • Direct scheduling from bench: Schedule employees directly from the bench, automatically removing them from the bench.
  • Cross-view integration: Employees can be added to the bench from:
    • Staff
    • Scheduling pages
    • Crew Board pages
    • Drag-and-drop operations

Sharing Workflow

  1. Users with "Manage Employee Bench" permission serve as Bench Administrators
  2. Bench Administrators can share specific categories with other users (including PMs)
  3. Shared users receive defined permissions (view-only or add/remove)
  4. All sharing operates at the category level for precise access control

Restored Planning tab with enhanced functionality

The Planning tab has been restored to the Workforce module with significant enhancements to support better manpower planning and forecasting capabilities. We’ve made the following updates:

  • Weekly input functionality: Input manpower planning data on a weekly basis.
  • 6-week forward view: By default, the Planning tab displays the upcoming 6 weeks for proactive workforce planning.
  • Workforce page availability: Planning view is now available directly from the Job Site/Workforce page.

Visual indicators

We’ve added visual indicators on planning cells to help you quickly understand the planned/scheduled relation for each classification (that is the job title):

  • Grey color: the planned number is less than the number of scheduled employees.
  • Green color: the planned and scheduled employee numbers are the same.
  • Red color: the planned number exceeds the scheduled number.

The following screenshot illustrates the visual indicators for various classifications.
