Fixed rest break policy
How the fixed rest break policy works and how it is configured.
In this topic, you'll learn how to configure a fixed rest break policy. If you activate a fixed break policy, the duration of the break is automatically subtracted from the employee timelog. For example, if the employee has logged 5 hours of work, and the break duration is set to 1 hour, the break duration is automatically subtracted from the employee's logged hours, resulting in 4 logged hours.
The fixed rest break policy is configured under Administration () > Settings > Meal & Rest Break. The following settings are available:
- Duration. The duration of the break.
- Minimum timelog duration. The minimum timelog duration required for the break policy to be applied.
- Default for all newly created job sites. If this checkbox is selected, the configured break settings are only applied to newly created job sites, not affecting existing job sites.
