SMS billing

The SMS Subscription section in Administration () > Billing gives you full visibility and control over your MobiClocks SMS costs. Use it to choose your SMS billing plan, set spending thresholds, manage your payment method, and review past invoices.

The SMS Subscription tab lets you choose how SMS charges are handled for your organization. Two plans are available: Free and Pay As You Go. When the SMS module is first enabled for your organization, the Free plan is selected by default.

Free plan

The Free plan includes a small monthly segment allowance so you can test SMS sending without incurring charges.

• Price. $0.00 per month.
• Free credits. A monthly SMS segment allowance included with your account.

Once you exhaust your monthly free credits, the SMS module is automatically suspended. While suspended, the SMS sending and scheduling buttons are disabled, and an in-app banner is displayed to inform you that sending is paused. Sending resumes automatically at the start of the next billing cycle when credits reset.

Pay As You Go plan

The Pay As You Go plan charges you per SMS segment sent, beyond the free credits included with the plan.

• Price. A per-segment rate based on your account's billing agreement.
• Free credits. The same monthly free segment allowance included with the Free plan is also available on this plan. Free credit usage is not counted against your configured threshold for notification purposes.

To cancel your Pay As You Go subscription, select Cancel subscription.

Alert thresholds

When on the Pay As You Go plan, you can configure a monthly SMS budget threshold to receive notifications or automatically suspend sending when costs approach or exceed your limit.

Enter your monthly budget amount in the dollar field, then configure one or both of the following options:

• Notify when reaches > 85%: When enabled, an email notification is sent to your organization's primary Super Admin when actual SMS costs reach 85% of your configured threshold. The email includes your configured threshold amount and current usage, and is sent from MobiClocks Support.
• Suspend sending at 100%: When enabled, SMS sending and scheduling are automatically suspended when costs exceed your configured threshold. The same in-app suspension banner shown during manual suspension is displayed. To remove the suspension, either increase the threshold value or disable this setting.

Select Save threshold setting to apply your changes.

Threshold configuration is optional but recommended when using the Pay As You Go plan to avoid unexpected charges.
