Translate forms

Build localized versions of your form to support employees who work in different languages.

The Translations tab displays all translatable text in your form as a table. Each row represents an individual string such as a question title, description, or placeholder text. The default language column is always shown first, with additional language columns appearing alongside it as you add them.

Add a language

The Languages panel on the right lists all languages configured for the form. To add a new language, click the + icon next to the Languages heading and select a language from the list. A new column appears in the translation table for that language. To remove a language, click the delete icon next to it in the Languages panel. Use the checkboxes next to each language to show or hide its column in the translation table without removing it entirely.

Enter translations

Click any cell in a language column to enter the translated text for that string. The default language column serves as a reference and can't be edited from this tab. Strings that have not yet been translated appear as greyed-out placeholder text showing the default value. Once you type a translation, the cell updates to show your entered text in full.

Filter strings

The Used Strings Only toggle in the top toolbar filters the translation table to show only strings that contain custom text entered in the Designer, hiding default system strings such as navigation button labels. Switch to All Strings to reveal every translatable string in the form, including default values you may want to override for a specific language.

Import and export translations

The toolbar provides two additional options for managing translations in bulk:

  • Import (): Uploads a previously exported translation file and applies the translations to the form. Use this to migrate translations from another form or to apply translations prepared outside of MobiClocks.
  • Export (): Downloads the current translation table as a file. Use this to share translations with a translator, back up your work, or reuse translations across multiple forms.
