View sent SMS logs
Review the history of sent SMS messages and track delivery status.
The SMS log board displays a complete history of all sent SMS messages in your MobiClocks environment. To access the log board, navigate to the SMS module and select the SMS log board tab.
The SMS log board contains a table with all sent messages. You can filter and search the table to locate specific messages.
SMS log table
The table displays the following information for each sent message:
- Sent Date: The date and time when the SMS was sent. Use the Date range filter to narrow results by time period.
- Sender: The name of the user who sent the SMS. Use the Search field to search by sender name.
- Message: The content of the SMS message that was sent to recipients.
- SMS segments: The number of message segments used to send the SMS. Messages that exceed the allowed content length are automatically split into multiple segments, with each segment counting toward your SMS usage.
- Contacts: The recipients who received the message. This field shows individual names (such as "John Doe") or contact list identifiers (such as "01-048 - PM") depending on how recipients were selected.
- Details: Select Delivery logs to view detailed delivery information for the message. The number in parentheses indicates the total number of recipients (for example, Delivery logs (2) means the message was sent to 2 recipients).
View detailed logs
To view detailed delivery information for a specific message, select the Delivery logs link in the Details column. This opens a detailed view showing the delivery status for each recipient.
The logs table displays the following information:
- Recipient name. The name of the contact who received the message. For employees, the employee number is included as well. Use the Search field to search for specific recipients.
- Phone number. The phone number to which the SMS was sent. Recipients without phone numbers display a dash (-).
- Opt out. Indicates whether the recipient has opted out of receiving SMS messages. Filter by selecting All, Yes, or No from the dropdown menu.
- Resent. Indicates whether the message was resent to the recipient. Filter by selecting All, Yes, or No from the dropdown menu.
- External. Indicates whether the recipient is an external contact. Filter by selecting All, Yes, or No from the dropdown menu.
- Status. Status. The delivery status of the message. Possible values include
Pending(sending in progress),Sent(sent by the system),Failed(unable to send), andDelivered(delivered to the recipient). Filter by delivery status using the dropdown menu. - Issue description. If the message failed to deliver, this column provides the reason for the failure (for example, "Phone number is missing").

SMS Delivery Detail

The SMS Delivery Detail report provides a recipient-level export of SMS send results, with one row per recipient per send event. This report breaks down each send event by individual recipient, showing the specific delivery outcome and reason for each contact. Use this report when you need granular visibility into which specific recipients received, were blocked from, or failed to receive each message.
The report includes the following fields:
- Sent Date/Time: The date and time when the SMS message was sent.
- Sender: The user or system account that initiated the SMS send event.
- Send ID: The unique identifier for the send event.
- Message Type: The type of SMS message sent. Values include
Manual(sent manually),Scheduled(one-time scheduled send), orRecurring(scheduled multiple instances). - Message Preview: An excerpt of the message content sent to the recipient.
- Recipient Name: The recipient's name displayed in Last Name, First Name format.
- Recipient Company: The company associated with the contact. For employees, this is their assigned company. For external contacts, this is the company relationship if applicable, which is not the same as the MobiClocks company. This field may be blank for back-end roles.
- Recipient Type: The type of recipient: Employee, User, or External contact.
- Recipient ID: The recipient's unique identifier.
- Phone: The recipient's phone number displayed in masked format, showing only the last 4 digits for security and privacy compliance.
- Outcome:The delivery result for this recipient. Values include
Blocked(contact was prevented from receiving the message),Delivered(message successfully delivered),Failed(delivery attempt failed), orPending(delivery pending). - Blocked Reason: The reason the message was blocked, populated only when Outcome is
Blocked. Values includeSuspended(contact is suspended from receiving SMS),Invalid Number(phone number is invalid), orOpted Out(contact has opted out of SMS communications). Invalid numbers are treated as blocked with no delivery attempt made to the carrier.
SMS Message Performance

The SMS Message Performance report provides a high-level summary of outbound SMS message delivery performance across all send events. This message-level report displays one row per send event, allowing administrators to quickly evaluate delivery success rates and identify communication issues without reviewing individual recipient details.
Use this report for operational monitoring, performance tracking, and quick validation that SMS communications were sent successfully. The report aggregates delivery metrics across all recipients for each message, providing delivery percentages and status breakdowns to help assess the effectiveness of your SMS campaigns.
The report includes the following fields:
- Sent Date/Time: The date and time when the SMS message was sent.
- Sender: The user or system account that initiated the SMS send event.
- Send ID: The unique identifier for the send event. Each send event generates a unique Send ID.
- Message Type: The type of SMS message sent, such as
Manual(sent manually),Scheduled(one-time scheduled send), orRecurring(scheduled multiple instances).. - Template Name: The name of the SMS message template used for the send event, if applicable.
- Message Preview: A preview or excerpt of the message content sent to recipients.
- Contact List(s): The contact list or lists that were targeted for this send event.
- Total Targeted: The total number of contacts targeted for the message send.
- Pending: The number of messages that are pending delivery and have not yet been processed.
- Queued: The number of messages that have been queued for sending.
- Attempted: The number of delivery attempts made, calculated as Total Targeted minus Blocked contacts (Attempted = Total Targeted − Blocked).
- Delivered: The number of messages successfully delivered to recipients.
- Blocked: The number of contacts that were blocked from receiving the message due to opt-out status, invalid phone numbers, or suspension.
- Failed: The number of messages that failed to deliver after attempted send.
- Delivery %: The percentage of attempted messages that were successfully delivered, calculated as Delivered divided by Attempted (Delivery % = Delivered / Attempted).
